SCI Support Group

Twelve members participated in the Marathon of the Palm Beaches. Not one of them had ever been on a handcycle. Five completed the Full Marathon. Five completed the Half Marathon (1 came in second, 1 came in third). Two completed the 5K. There were hundreds of disabled participating. It was AWESOME. The next marathon is the ING Marathon in Miami which is on Jan 31, then the Ft. Lauderdale A1A on Feb 21.

Our fundraiser for Dec-Jan is selling 'Enjoy the City" coupon books (like the Entertainment books). If you want any or know of anyone or companies that would like to participate in this fundraiser, contact Sue Krinsky (email hyperlink- Susan.Krinsky@healthsouth.com).

SCI Action is conducting an online research survey to examine the effectiveness of health and physical activity messages sent to people with SCI. We are looking for volunteers from North America for the study. You do not have to be physically active to participate. You will receive gift cards as a thank-you for your participation.

Please contact Rebecca Bassett if you would like more information
Or if you would like to volunteer for the study:

Participation in Research Opportunity
Calling all Registered Nurses!

You are invited to participate in a study looking at work instability and intent to leave among employed RNs in the United States.

Your participation will help researchers learn more about work instability (the mismatch between the ability to perform nursing work and the demands and expectations of the work) among registered nurses.

For the purpose of this study, you are eligible to participate if you are a registered nurse licensed and currently working in the United States and are able to read and write English.

Please contact Leslie Neal-Boylan if you are interested in participating:
leslie.neal-boylan@yale.edu or 203-785-3337.

Suggestions regarding contact information...

  • Consider using your personal email rather than your work email. This lessens the likelihood of mail being returned or being placed into your spam or junk folder

  • Please make sure your email is correct with FSARN and ARN.

  • To correct or change your email with FSARN, just go to the 'Join email list' to the left of every page on this website and enter your correct email

  • To correct or change your email with ARN, you must call or email them with the change, it cannot be corrected via the member account page at www.rehabnurse.org
