Open Officer Positions for the 2027–2029 Term

FSARN is seeking motivated, talented, and creative leaders to serve as officers for the 2027–2029 term and help guide the organization’s continued growth and impact.
Active FSARN members who are interested in advancing rehabilitation nursing and healthcare across Florida are encouraged to submit their names for consideration. Please review the open officer positions below and complete the Consent to Serve document. Completed materials should be submitted by December 4, 2026 to be considered.

Term and Eligibility: Directors serve a two-year term in their elected position and will chair one or more committees, as assigned by the President. Candidates must be Active Members of ARN and the Florida Chapter of ARN to run for office.

OPEN Officer Positions for the 2027–2029 Term:        President Elect — Serves as a voting member of the Board and supports the President in leading the organization. In the President’s absence, inability, or refusal to act, the President Elect assumes the duties, powers, and responsibilities of the President. This role also serves as Parliamentarian during Board meetings, refers to Robert’s Rules of Order for procedural issues, chairs the annual educational conference committee, and performs additional duties assigned by the President or Chapter Board of Directors.
 Recording Secretary — Serves as a voting member of the Board and maintains accurate minutes for the Chapter Board of Directors in an electronic file. This role ensures required notices are issued in accordance with the Bylaws or applicable law, serves as custodian of corporate records, and performs additional duties assigned by the President or Chapter Board of Directors.
 Corresponding Secretary — Serves as a voting member of the Board and performs the Recording Secretary’s duties when needed. This role maintains the current phone tree, distributes it electronically to the Board, sends congratulatory or condolence cards and letters as directed, and performs additional duties assigned by the President or Chapter Board of Directors.
 Nominations Chair — Identifies FSARN members who may be interested in leadership opportunities and helps cultivate future involvement at the state level. This role solicits input from the President and Board members regarding potential candidates and follows established nomination policies and procedures.
 Treasurer — Oversees the organization’s financial affairs, provides written financial reports at regular Board of Directors and membership meetings, is a member of the Budget and Finance Committee, and submits an annual budget to the Board for approval.
